Just what the fuck are the Pacers going to do?

Shit I don’t know.

What I do know is that everyone needs to take their hands away from the big red button, its not time to freak out. The Pacers have pieces to make big trades, maybe even land a lottery pick. Woo Hoo. That’s great and all but those “pieces” happen to be some very good players that could help us win games.

If the pacers called me asking what they should do this is what I would (soulja boy) tell ‘em.

Run that Shit Back!!!

I don’t like calling for people’s job and I was kind of suprised when the Pacers fired Nate. Mostly because it was the right move to make, I just didn’t think the front office would do it. So boom, Problem solved right?

not quite.

The Pacers played some archaic style of basketball the last few seasons, so I’m not really looking at any kind of stats because some key variables have changed. I think this is a big time to change the line up, now that the offense is changing. A big decision down the road, which has always seemed inevitable, is the Turbonis system wasn’t able to reinvent the wheel. It’s too slow and predictable. We weren’t even capitalizing on rebounds. My thinking is .

  1. Move Myles to the Bench. : Now this one I don’t see being thrown around much. Mainly because people have had it out for Myles from the get go. Trading him the second we modernize our offense would be a colossal mistake. He’s so god damn talented it pains me to watch him under preform. I don’t think this will be easy for him, but this lets the offense move way faster and give us a mismatches in the bench trenches. Myles suffers from a disease called Mental Landlord Disorder or MLD. Its very serious and very real. He rents out headspace to certain players all over the league and always ends bad. Embiid, Drummond, Towns all have very nice high rises up in Myles head. Until Myles figures out the Zoning Permits in his head, he should be strategically place as our go to guy on the bench and let him get rolling so we don’t have him on the bench the last 7 minutes of every game. Who knows it might even stop the 2 fouls in the first quarter bullshit. Convincing him to move to the bench without effecting his Psyche may prove to be rather difficult.

  2. Trade Sabonis: I know @KyrieIrvington is going to love this. This isn’t my favorite idea, but I can’t help that it kind of makes sense. In a McMillian offense Sabonis was an All Star, but what will he be in an offense that doesn’t run exclusively off pick and rolls? Sabonis has the most value on the team, some might say Vic and it would be a good argument, but I believe the two are pretty much even in terms of trade ability, the risk seems lower with sabonis. I don’t make the rules but the universe had deemed this to be true, Sabonis and Oladipo can’t be separated or the team that trades one and not the other will get the Zeroni Curse from Holes. So if i had a say in this matter I’d only trade Sabonis if I was also trading Dipo. Now that’s crazy… or is it? biggest haul possible, no point to half way tank, and it could be what it takes to get one of those top picks.

  3. Trade Myles: Shut up this is a dumb idea. Don’t listen to twitter trolls or stats. Myles Could turn heads in an actual offense. Don’t let that be for another team.

So The Line up…

PG: MALCOM BROGDON

SG: VICTOR OLADIPO
SF: TJ WARREN
PF: JAKARR SAMPSON

C: DOMAS SABONIS

Bench

6. MYLES TURNER (C)

7. JUSTIN HOLIDAY (gotta resign this man!) (SF/PF)

8. AARON HOLIDAY (SG)

9. DOUG MCDERMOTT (SF/PF)

10. TJ MCCONNELL (PG)

I believe that the front office has put together the players to win, They just need a chance to shine in the right system.

My keys to making the offense work:

They’re will be countless articles calling for the pacers to shot 3s so ill leave that to them, and won’t insult your intelligence pointing out the obvious. First, just from watching the pacers were really good at operating on the baseline. From the TJ warrens baseline midrange to McConnell’s wrap around layups. That should be an area we abuse. Not only will we get buckets there but that will open up the middle for Sabonis and Oladipo to eat in the middle and let shooters find space around the 3. Secondly, we have to stop fouling 3 point shooters and letting them make it. The last 3 seasons we’ve been plagued by that shit. I don’t know if it will result in wins, but I will keep my hair from graying in my 30s. Thirdly and most importantly, The pacers have to find a way to get Thad Young back. I swear what ever it takes to save him from the bulls, we must do. Its only right.

Realistcally the Pacers are in limbo land. To tank or not to tank that is the question. I always vote no to tanking. Its time for the pacers to go all in and show the fans what their made of. The chip is back on the shoulder and it should be a fun offseason.

Oh yah and cut TJ Leaf.
