Riveting River Moments

Exercise in being silly

Calm river flows as spring shimmers into summer. Birds of all different Latin classification words frolic from one giant, green tree to the next up and down the banks of the river. As the river rolls past me, I stand on a wobbly, wooden dock. Days always from being declared decrepit. Two trees lie lamenting in the grass. Dead and decaying nearby, narrowly missing this damn dock by some odd twist of fate. This shitty structure lives on for some reason. Next to this dock of destiny sits a large stone with a robust, rusted, round, metal coated cover drilled into the stone.

“What the fuck is that?” The fish wonder surfacing to munch on the floating fish food from nearby trees and such. Jumping about in sheer confusing of the metal coated covering. The largest of the fish saunters upstream just beyond a mound of clay caked river rocks jet above the water level. Making it a perfect home for Indigenous Indiana River Reeds.
Across from the tiny River Reed island lies the other bank of the river. A slender, brown beach spans the length of the river. Just down the way to the right you can hear the faint sounds of rapids.

admist the chaos of the current lies an even prouder colony of Indigenous Indiana River Reeds growing taller and geese floating a front of the reeds. Sitting there stinky and stupid Six geese, float out of formation adding nothing to the world. It looks like they are intending on meeting with the rest of the dumb geese all the way up the river along side the large man made bridge. Probably to block traffic or poop everywhere

a gopher just startled me as it entered into its den, not but 5 feet away from me. The gopher bobs it head out of the den as to inspect me. Pretty sure it can sense my chill vibes, I break of a piece of my Golden Grahams breakfast bar, with marshmallows, to offer as a peace treaty, you know. The curious critter crept closer confounded by the chocolate. Just as I mention to the gopher the part about the marshmallows, it scurried away in the denser shrubbery. I took the hint that I was invading the rodent’s riverside manor and made my leave
