Poo Poo Pacers
Well, this is sucks. What the fuck are the pacers doing? Below five hundred. Losing games Pacers have no business losing. Some reaches of the fandom are losing their minds. That can be seen in most comment sections of pacers content. The Pro Tanking Movement is getting Louder with each L sustained. BLEKK fuck the tank strategy, I believe that Pacers are above the Philadelphia’s and Timberwolves of the leagues. I do not like tanking, in the NBA because I hate losing and I hate planning ahead so losing as a part of a plan makes me want to vomit. There’s really no honor in tanking.
The Jazz drafted Donavan Mitchell at what, pick 13??? Maybe sometimes its best not to mess with fate. There are no guarantees. Only opportunities. Opportunities to grab the season by the horns and maybe learn a few things on the way.
There’s a lot to be said about this season. So I’ll say some more shit. My issues mainly lie with the teams lack of maturity. It shows in the inconsistency of play, the body language in game, the 4th quarter choke fests. Its exhausting. Like I feel zapped after a pacers game. I’m not going to lie to you folks, I’m a pretty big pacers fan and I’m finding it difficult to watch some of these games.
I believe that there is an identity crisis for this pacers team. Some games The Pacers will score 140, some games they will only score 87 in the same week. And the same goes for the defense as well. Nate needs to get a clue on what the fuck is the best option for this team. MORE OFFENSE *cough*
If Pacers play with 2 centers Pacers are going to be a lot slower than a lot of teams, right? so hyper offense will be difficult by nature of team make up. At this point the team might be better off playing with 4 men on defense and just having Sabonis cherry pick under the basket. Probably run a 1 – 2 – 1 zone camping Myles in front of the rim for blocks. Shit can’t hurt to try.
2 centers at once Pacers must be getting all the rebounds. Wrongoooo the pacers are on pace to have the least amount of rebounds per game since 2009. If that wasn’t bad enough they are also on pace to give up the most rebounds per game to opponents since 2009… holy shit what was going on in 2009?? This masterpiece of a roster was what was going on.

Rebound isn’t the only stat at a generational low right now. I had to scroll back all the way to 1990 to find the last time the Pacers were allowing over 112 points per game like they are this season. Not only are they are allowing 112 points per game, but they are also doing this while letting opponents shoot 52 percent in the paint with a DPOY candidate on the god damn team.
A silver lining here is that the Pacers are also average 112 points a game on offense. The pacers are just consistently inconsistent. If you look at these stats you might think this team is so incredibly average. Right now, that might seem true. But being the pacers fan that I am, I refuse to believe in that mediocrity. Suuuuuure, this team is flawed but they have so many good basketball players that the current predicament is mind-boggling.
I don’t know if other people are catching this too, but I’ve spoken with a few fans that feel like this team is a little bit individually focused on stats. If Sabonis drops 30 there’s a decent chance Pacers might have lost by 30 that night. Myles wants to get 7 blocks a night and ends up sitting most of the 4th in foul trouble. Watch Brogdon during a timeout when the Pacers are down. 1000-yard stare. Maybe he’s locked in maybe he’s disassociating with society. Pritchard put all his eggs in the Brogdon basket. This team needs him to be a leader. This is his team. Like it or not Pacers go where Brogdon takes us. Still a little early to judge on LeVert but I like this synergy with Edmond already. Brogdon, Sabonis, Myles are all young and talented players that could really benefit from some veteran leadership out there.
The team seems flat af. Honestly, this is going to sound wild but I don’t care. This team would greatly benefit from having some fun. Mix shit up. I was promised a modern offense this offseason, and goddammit I want a fucking modern offense. It was there at the start of the season but ever since the Allstar fan voting numbers came out, it hasn’t been the same. Sabonis and Brogdon both want to be top dawgs, well they better figure some shit out because the two don’t seem to be operating too well. Too much Brogdon dribbling and Sabonis post work. Pacers take 6 more 3’s than the Pacers did last year, but I think the Pacers need to take 6 more than that. 40 3’s a game should be the bare minimum. Reasoning: FUCK IT Pacers aren’t winning not shooting 40+ threes. Let Doug bring the ball up and fire from 40 like steph. There’s no such thing as halfway crooks. Scared money don’t make money. If the Pacers are going modern offense go all the way or don’t go at all. This half-ass bullshit is kind of annoying.
I’m kind of steamed and just bring up problems whether it be immaturity, Rebounding, defense, not enough 3s, lack of veteran leadership, or flat af just talking about it would solve anything. There is a solution that checks all those boxes. Lance Motha fuckin Stephenson (Weeeeelll maybe not the immaturity thing). There literally nothing to lose, if it doesn’t work then it’s just a better draft pick. And if it does then fuck yeah Lance will probably bounce once another team offers him a contract anyway.
