Vegetarian Tales 2 (more than 2 sentences)

Alright so my sister got mad at me and told me my first vegetarian post was annoying. So here goes an attempt at a semi serious take.

DISCLAIMER: This post is not meant to sway anyone, just my observations.

First of all, I went vegetarian because I saw a Netflax documentary. pretty much the worst reason, so I’m nothing special here. Also vegetarian is a deceptive word. I’m not outside grazing my front yard, I’m out here shamelessly ordering 10 cheesy roll ups from the Taco Bell drive thru.

At first, I didn’t know what i was doing.

PB&J’s.

Cheese Pizza.

Popscicles.

Those were probably my main dietary staples for the first few weeks. Then I figured out that just like on survivor I had to eat rice pretty fucking often so I’ve gotten pretty good at cooking rice. I had to actually research my diet and see how to make this work. Vitamins and Whey protien have been clutch. I googled whey protien to make sure I wasn’t cheating. Its cheese and I’m not vegan. fuck yah.

My home cooking is pretty sub par so I eat out a lot… (insert Archer are we still doing phrasing? joking here) Some of the new food I really liked and i found some others that were Borger Kings impossible burger. I’ve been getting a lot of Curry lately. I found this place with a chickpea curry on spicy rice. Upper Echelon stuff, let me tell you. I cry tears of joy every time (i swear its not because its too spicy). I’ve been eating these Acai and Pitaya Bowls. They are skyrocketing in my power rankings of meatless options. Its like eating candy and ice cream without the bad stuff. I’m going to try some meatless meatloaf today, which is just scrambling my brain how that can exist?!

edit: it’s was really good

A low point was seeing that Mcdonald’s released the spicy nugs right after switching. All those years of bringing the god damn mcrib back, only to drop them spicy nugs now! That was tragic.

All in all Vegetarian isn’t the hardest. I don’t even know if its better for you or not. I’m just kind of going for it. It gets boring at times eating plants, but at the end of the day I feel pretty good. I managed to even gain weight, all that cheese baby.
